Being part of Rowcroft Hospice is a great way to engage and motivate your employees, as well as supporting a vital service for the community of South Devon. We have experience of creating innovative and successful corporate partnerships, with a variety of companies. Why not get in touch to see how your company can support Rowcroft Hospice?
Should your business choose to support Rowcroft Hospice,
we promise to:
• Provide effective/positive PR and social media opportunities
• Help you meet your corporate social responsibility objectives
• Work with you to decide how best you can support Rowcroft Hospice
• Work with your business to inform your employees about the work that Rowcroft Hospice does
Key reasons to support Rowcroft Hospice
• Boost your company’s profile in South Devon
• Raise staff morale and help to retain staff
• Off set charitable giving under company corporate tax
• Be part of positive social change
• Have fun through fundraising
You can support us in a number of ways, some of which are listed below.
Sponsor or take part in one of Rowcroft’s hugely
popular events or campaigns:
Rowcroft needs to seek sponsorship to help with the costs associated with arranging some of our larger fundraising events, for example The Colour Rush, The Sleep Walk and Light up a Life.
Partnering with Rowcroft through sponsorship of campaigns and high profile events is an effective and visible way of meeting your corporate social responsibility aims, whilst also providing great opportunities for PR and promotion of your organisation.
Becoming a partner demonstrates to your employees and the general public your commitment to supporting your local community, and generates positive exposure for your brand.
Charity of the Year partnerships:
Choosing Rowcroft as your charity of the year enables us to build a close partnership with you over a 12 month partnership. We can help support you with fundraising activities that involve your staff across the whole organisation, for example, dress down days, coffee mornings, Festive Fridays or skydive days – just like the staff at Pathfinder Homes. Or perhaps you’d like to take on a more extreme team-building and fundraising exercise, such as the London to Paris Cycle Challenge. This will engage employees, maximise your profile and gain you local media exposure.
Corporate Monthly Donation:
Paignton’s Blue Sea Food Company has generously committed to making a £1000 donation to Rowcroft Hospice every month for the foreseeable future. By using this method of fundraising, it allows companies to claim tax relief for donations to UK charities as a charge against income in their corporation tax. To find out more, contact me or speak further to your accountant or finance department.
Matched funding from your Company:
Why not offer an incentive to encourage fundraising efforts by offering to match what your staff have raised, £ for £? This will double the amount raised, develop a sense of team effort, and the company can still benefit from tax relief under the Gift Aid scheme.
Gifts in kind:
It’s not just about donating money. Gifts in Kind can be an item that you produce or sell and we can make use of goods and services to sell in our shops. Items can be used as prizes in raffles, complimentary tickets, and tombolas – the list is endless. Purely Devon Hampers are supporting Rowcroft for a second year by donating luxury hampers to raffle off at events, fetes and fairs! Things that don’t cost you anything and that we can utilise or sell can be of great benefit to us and will help to build your brand profile.
Payroll Giving (also known as ‘Give As You Earn’) is a way that employees can donate tax-free to Rowcroft Hospice direct from their salary. Your company makes the deduction before tax is calculated, meaning the employee doesn’t pay any tax on the income they have chosen to donate. If you think your staff would be interested in giving in this way, do get in touch and we’d be happy to explain more about this simple and tax efficient way of donating.
