Since The Rowcroft Sleep Walk began, amazing people like you have helped raise an udderly staggering £1,200,000 to help support local families. This year is your year to make a difference, please read the top fundraising tips below and raise all the pounds you can to support local families to share laughs, tears and precious moments together.

Now here are some top tips on how to get started with your fundraising!

  1. Go online
Set up an online donation page using a website such as JustGiving. Once your page is set up, you’ll have a link you can email to friends and family, and to share on your social media channels.
  2. Use your fundraising pack
Display the sponsor form sent to you in the post at work, home, your barn or anywhere else you choose. The more people who know you’ll be walking through the night for Rowcroft the more stacks of cash you’re likely to raise! There’s also a poster that you can download from this website; print and personalise it with your name and how far you’ll be walking and you’ll reap a fine fundraising harvest come July!
  3. Remember to Gift Aid
Ask all your sponsors to tick the Gift Aid Box and fill in their full details on your sponsor form. It means that for every penny they donate, Rowcroft will receive an extra 25% from HM Revenue and Customs at no additional cost to you, them or any other little lambs.
  4. Know your stuff
Did you know Rowcroft cares for three quarters of its patients in their own homes? And that it costs £2,174 to provide care to a patient at home in the last weeks of life? Arming yourself with information about Rowcroft, and sharing experiences you might have had at the hospice will help people to understand how their sponsorship really does make a difference.
  5. Get creative
Put the fun into your fundraising by planning some themed activities – like a Barn Dance, or farmyard fancy dress day at work. Alternatively, ask family and friends to set up a regular monthly donation, or set up your own. Making a donation of £10 each month could pay for a hospice nurse to make a visit to support a family at home. Set yours up today at
