Rowcroft's Totnes shop planning pop up vintage tea room
25 May 2016
Rowcroft Hospice's Totnes shop is opening a pop up vintage tea room on Wednesday 29 June as part of the hospice's Big Bake fundraising campaign.
For one day only, from 9am - 4.30pm, the shop will sell teas, coffees and homemade cakes with a selection of vintage tea cups and china also available to purchase.
The event is being planned as part of Rowcroft's Big Bake campaign, which invites bakers across South Devon to hole their own coffee mornings or bake sales during June and donate the funds raised to the hospice.
Totnes Shop Manager Nicola Shellard explained: "We will be setting up tables and chairs with seating for around 20 people and our volunteers are baking a selection of delicious homemade cakes to sell, including a chocolate and beetroot cake and a coconut sponge.
"Our customers will also be able to buy any of the vintage tea cups and plates they use on the day, while browsing a selection of other vintage treasures and our normal ladies and gentlemen's clothing, accessories, books, toys and bric-a-brac."
Every pound raised during the day will be used to make every day the best day possible for local people and families who are living with life-limiting illnesses.
Caroline Wannell, Rowcroft's Retail Manager, added: "We're very excited to be holding this one-off event in our Totnes shop and look forward to treating our customers to a unique and very delicious experience in-store!
"We hope they will enjoy the experience and that it will also help to raise much-needed funds to help our patients and their families make the most of every moment they have together."
Rowcroft's Totnes shop is located at the top of Totnes High Street and is one of 14 Rowcroft shops across South Devon, including a recently opened coffee shop, Love Coffee, in Ashburton.
