More than 2000 ladies have signed up to take part in Rowcroft's massively popular Sleep Walk for the sixth consecutive year, making the event the most successful in the hospice's history.
The annual ladies-only night walk, which this year takes place on Saturday 9 July, has raised more that £860,000 in its six year history, helping to support thousands of people across South Devon who are living with life-limiting illnesses to make the most of every moment with family and friends.
Rowcrofr is hoping to reach an all-time fundraising total of £1 miliion this year, and still has places available for ladies who would like to walk through the night as part of this incredible fundraising effort.
Event Manager, Daniel Robson, said: "This year's Sleep Walk has an 80s theme and we're planning for it to be the biggest girls' night out in South Devon, with friends, family, laughter and some toally awesome 80s tunes!
"All ladies over ten-years-old are invited to join the fun and walk their choice of five or ten mile routes starting and finishing at Torbay Leisure Centre, passing some of South Devon's stunning scenery at sunset and into the night."
Registration costs £15 per person and tickets will be available to buy until Monday 23 May.
Daniel adds: "We'll have some extra 80s surprises along the route and for the first time in Sleep Walk history, we have the Lights of Love, an area for walkers to light a tea light in memory and celebration of special and missed loved ones."
Louise Grant, Deputy Inpatient Unit Manager at the hispice, who completed The Sleep Walk 2015 with her sister, said: "For anyone wanting to do something amazing for a local charity this year, while having fun with friends and enjoying the scenery along our stunning South Devon coastline, I would say sign up!
"You'll have a night to remember forever and also be helping to raise vital funds for people in South Devon who really need your help."
