Rowcroft opens on the day registration for the Colour Road Rush
28 July 2015
The unique 3k paint run takes place on the brand new South Devon Link Road this Saturday 1 August.
Registration will be open on a first come first serve basis from 1 – 1.30pm, at a cost of £25 per ticket.
Rowcroft’s Events Co-orindator Daniel Robson said: “We are delighted to announce we have a limited number of places still available for the Colour Road Rush and are happy to accept on the day sign ups.”
He added: “We would ask that all those travelling to the event think about whether they are able to car share, as parking at the event is limited.”
All those who enter will be able to walk or run on a section of the new dual carriageway, while being colour-bombed with washable paint at designated paint stations.
The non-competitive event is open to everyone aged 13 and over.
Nigel Palmer, managing director for Linden Homes South West said: “As part of the Galliford Try Group, we’re thrilled to be involved in this exciting event. We contribute a huge amount to the area, in terms of homes and infrastructure, and we’re delighted to be celebrating the work in such a colourful way - raising much needed funds for a very worthwhile charity.”
Galliford Try Executive Chairman Greg Fitzgerald added his support: “Being a South Devon local, Rowcroft Hospice is a charity close to my heart. It’s great we can provide such a unique venue for this exciting event. So I would urge everybody to register to enter and put a bit of colour in your life!”
Giles Charnaud, chief executive of Rowcroft Hospice said: “I am delighted Rowcroft Hospice is working with Linden Homes and Galliford Try to stage this event on the new link road.
“The road has been awaited for many decades and to be part of celebrating its imminent opening is a fabulous opportunity. We want to join with our community of South Devon, to live life in full colour, to place our mark on something remarkable and to say ‘I was there and it was colourful and memorable.”
