Pathfinder Homes prepares to get colourful for Rowcroft

01 April 2016

Staff at Pathfinder Homes are planning to get colourful for Rowcroft Hospice by hurling, and getting covered in, paint at The Colour Rush Teignmouth.

The leading manufacturer of residential park home and holiday lodges is sponsoring the first ever Colour Rush Teignmouth on Saturday 7 May and also entering a team into the unique 5k.

Rowcroft is Pathfinder Homes Charity of the Year for 2016, which made sponsoring and entering The Colour Rush an obvious choice for the team.

Mike Wills, Managing Director of Pathfinder Homes, said: “Sponsoring The Colour Rush Teignmouth provides a great opportunity for the team to all get together outside of the usual environment and make a difference.

“Being a South Devon based business, which prides itself on innovation, we felt it necessary to be a part of the most colourful event in the county!

“Our team is just as excited about being covered in paint as they are about throwing it!”

Mike added: “This partnership not only gives us a huge opportunity to support the community but also to provide our team with prospects they may not have been able to access before.”

Daniel Robson, Events Manager at Rowcroft Hospice, said: “We’d like to say a huge thank you to Pathfinder Homes and all those who are supporting Rowcroft’s first ever Colour Rush in Teignmouth.

“We can’t wait to see you all there for colour craziness on Saturday 7 May!”

The Colour Rush invites participants to walk, run or even dance their way around 5km of beach while being covered in two tonnes of powder paint.

The Teignmouth event starts and finishes at The Den on Teignmouth seafront.

Once participants have completed the route, they’ll be invited to take part in Rowcroft’s legendary mass paint throw, which promises to be big, bright and colour-crazy!

Daniel added: “More than half of the places for The Colour Rush Teignmouth have been filled so with only a few weeks until the event takes place we’d urge all those who’d still like to take part to sign up at as soon as possible.”

All those who sign up for The Colour Rush are encouraged to raise as much in sponsorship as possible to support local families living with life-limiting illnesses.

Daniel explained: “More than 70% of our funding comes from the local community. By signing up for The Colour Rush and supporting Rowcroft Hospice you’ll be an amazing part of helping families in South Devon who are living with life-limiting illnesses to share precious time together.”
