Jumper for Joy selfie campaign takes off for Hospice

10 December 2014

Our Christmas jumper selfie campaign, Jumper for Joy, is building momentum on social media across the South West and beyond.

The joyful campaign invites people to put on their cheesiest and most festive Christmas Jumper, take a photo of themselves to share on social media, and text donate £3 to Rowcroft Hospice.

Community Fundraising Manager, Heather Norman-Soderlind, explains: “We are delighted to be introducing the fantastically festive Jumper for Joy selfie campaign to social media.

“We hope this festive take on the popular selfie fundraising trend will help to raise awareness of the extensive services Rowcroft provides for people across South Devon, as well as vital funds to help support the hospice.”

Launched on 1 December, the campaign has taken off with a number of people getting into the festive spirit in the first week. Why not join in the fun and upload your picture today? All you have to do is share your Christmas jumper selfie on Facebook or Twitter using #JJOY, text ‘JJOY14 £3’ to 70070 and nominate friends and family to do the same.

Heather adds: “Over 70% of our funding comes from the local community, so we rely heavily on the success of fundraising campaigns such as Jumper for Joy, and thank all those who take part for their support.”

Rowcroft Hospice cares for more than 1800 people living with life-limiting illnesses across South Devon every year, while providing ongoing support to their loved ones.
