Full day of fun planned for The Colour Rush Teignmouth
13 April 2016
Rowcroft has announced it has a full day of family fun for its first Colour Rush event in Teignmouth, taking place on Saturday 7th May.
A climbing wall, inflatable assault course and performance from local band Harbour are all planned for The Colour Rush Event Village, which will be located at The Den on Teignmouth Seafront and open to all participants and spectators.
Event Manager at Rowcroft Hospice, Daniel Robson, said: "The fun and games will kick off from 10.30am and continue all day with music from The Breeze, a bat provided by Panache and plenty of food and drinks stalls.
"All of the entertainment and refreshments that are available on the day will help to raise vital income for Rowcroft, helping to support thousands of people living with life-limiting illnesses in South Devon."
The day's main event will be The Colour Rush, South Devon's brightest 5k, which will take place promptly at 12.30pm and see more than 600 people complete a 5k route along the beach while being showered in two tonnes of powder paint.
Following completion of the route, all participants will be invited to take part in Rowcroft's legendary mass paint throw, which with hundreds of people and hundreds of bags of paint is expected to be big, bright and colour crazy!
Rowcroft has a limited number of places still available for The Colour Rush, for those who would like to tackle the brightest 5k of their lives.
Daniel added: "If you're tempted to live life in full colour and take on one of the most fun, crazy and definitely colourful challenges of your life then sign up soon at www.thecolourrush.co.uk.
"We will be closing pre-registration for The Colour Rush Teignmouth on Wednesday 27th April, but still have a limited number of places available.
"Registration is open to all those over aged 13-years-old, regardless of your fitness level, and registration costs £25 per person, or £20 for 13-16 year olds."
All those that sign up for The Colour Rush are asked to raise as much in sponsorship as possible to help support families in South Devon who are living with life-limiting illnesses.
