Festive goodies up for grabs in Rowcroft Churston shop's raffle

02 December 2014

Lucky ticket holders will have the chance to win luxury prizes at Rowcroft Hospice’s Churston Shop and Tea Rooms’ Christmas Raffle in December.

Staff and volunteers from Rowcroft Hospice’s Churston shop are holding their annual prize draw in aid of the hospice on 18 December at 6pm.

There is a fantastic selection of prizes up for grabs, including a 42” TV, an Apollo bike, and a meal for two at Mitch Tonks’ Rockfish restaurant.

Tickets for the draw cost just £1 each, and are available to buy from the shop until the start of the draw on 18 December.

The shop is planning an evening of events on the night of the draw, including carols from ChurstonGrammar School students, with complimentary spiced apple drink and apple strudel provided by the Churston shop volunteers.

The event is organised by Churston Shop Manager Leigh Hanley and her team of volunteers. Leigh said: “Following the success of last year’s draw for Christmas Hampers, we wanted to pull out all the stops this year!

“The prizes which have been donated by customers, local organisations and national businesses are amazing; we can’t thank everyone enough for their generosity. Special thanks must also be said to all the volunteers, whose hard work makes the draw possible.”

Other prizes in the draw include a signed photo of Manchester United player Daley Blind, the use of a brand new Mini for a weekend, a day zorbing for two, a 12lb turkey from Gardentime butcher, and a luxury hamper donated by Stockman Funeral Service.

Retail Development Manager Caroline Wannell added: “The luxury prizes in the Churston raffle are a chance for you to treat yourself this Christmas, or to give an extra special gift. The draws in all our shops help us to raise funds for the vital work Rowcroft does across South Devon.”

Nearly all of Rowcroft’s 13 charity shops are holding a Christmas draw. For more information on their festive activities, visit your local Rowcroft Hospice Shop
