Learning Objectives:
- To improve knowledge and understanding about the anatomy and physiology of swallowing and illnesses affecting swallow function.
- To be able to make an assessment of a person’s swallow and know when to refer for specialist support.
- To improve confidence in the care and management of someone with swallowing difficulties.
- To consider the communication and ethical decision making skills for people at end of life and how we can support worried relatives and carers.

To maintain a ‘fair to all’ booking process, we will allow 3 bookings per establishment/company. Any further booking requests will be added to a reserve list and will be allocated on a ‘first come, first served’ basis should we have any cancellations.
