1 November @ 5:30 pm - 9:00 pm
Steam and Carols have organised this fantastic event to start November off with a bang.
The night begins in the lower field at 6.30pm, with the bonfire lighting ceremony. You are welcome to arrive early at 5.30pm and take part in the fire torch procession, which gathers at the entrance for a park tour. The entertainment follows on to include a Pyrotechnic Light Display, starting at 7.30pm.The cost of the tickets reflect the charge for hiring ‘Celebration Pyrotechnics’ of Bodmin and for preparing the large bonfire. Free car parking is available on site with access via the main entrance.
You are welcome to bring your own picnic and beer or wine if desired. Small folding chairs are recommended and dogs allowed. Food and refreshments are available on site including a bar (donations) hog roast, fish and chips, tea and coffee. The theme again this year will be Viking Norse Mythology, giant fire god Jo’tnar and we will also be celebrating the gunpowder plot of 1605 by burning an effigy of Guy Fawkes. Wizards and Witches out trick or treating, celebrating a late Halloween are also welcome!
Vocal group Duncan and Stav will be on stage initially followed by Soloist Rob Hunt after the fireworks. We expect the evening to finish between 8.45pm – 9.00pm. Sat 2nd November is a reserve night, available in case torrential rain is forecast on Friday and the event is postponed 24hrs. Please note family ticket only available in advance.
