A truly scrumptious way to raise funds for the hospice! Are you ready to whip up some sweet treats to raise dough to care for people with life-limiting illnesses in our community? We’re thrilled to invite you to join our Big Bake fundraising event throughout June.
Whether you’re an enthusiastic baker or just enjoy a good slice of cake, the Big Bake is the perfect opportunity to gather friends, family, or colleagues for a fun and meaningful cause. Host a cosy coffee morning, a garden tea party, a bake-off competition, or a cake sale at work or school – the options are endless!
A recipe for success 👩🍳
The Big Bake is more than just a fundraiser; it’s a wonderful chance to get deliciously creative in the kitchen and to have a giggle with friends over a cuppa and a yummy slice of cake (or two!)
All you need are a few key ingredients:
- A free Big Bake fundraising pack with helpful hints and tips.
- Rowcroft posters and invitations to help you spread the word.
- A date and time in June that works best for you and your invitees.
- A comfortable venue – this could be your home, a village hall, a school, or your workplace.
- Some trusty volunteers to help bake cakes and make the tea!
- Tasty treats, cakes and bakes – sweet or savoury, shop-bought or homemade.
- Friends, family and colleagues etc to get the Big Bake party started!
The ‘easy peasy’ method 🎂
Here’s what you need to do:
- Register today and we’ll send you your pack which includes printable cake flags, posters, invites and bunting.
- Let us know what you’ve got planned and we’ll promote it on our Facebook page – ‘Fundraising for Rowcroft Hospice’.
- Show us your baking creations – please feel free to post and tag us in your pictures so we can see what talented chefs you are!
- Remember that every pound you raise will help patients with life-limiting illnesses to make every day the best day possible, and to make lasting memories with the people who mean everything to them.
Please note that a limited number of Big Bake packs are available for £5 + postage which includes a Big Bake apron and balloons. These can be ordered when registering.
How will your Big Bake help? 💜
You and your sweet creations will make such a huge difference in helping us deliver specialist care to local people facing the hardest of times.
- £60 could pay for a patient to receive two complementary therapy sessions, such as massage or reflexology, to help promote relaxation and well-being.
- £265 could pay for overnight care for a patient at home, enabling a family to get a good night’s sleep knowing their loved one is receiving expert care and support.
- £486 could pay for a patient with complex needs to receive a day’s specialist care and support in our Inpatient Unit.
