Who can be a Volunteer?

Volunteering is open to anyone over 16 years of age and we welcome volunteers from all walks of life. So if you have some time to spare please consider joining our team.

A minimum age of 25 applies to volunteers driving a hospice vehicle. New volunteers wishing to undertake Minibus Driving duties must also be under the age of 68 years of age and must hold the appropriate category on their driving licence. Minibus drivers on reaching 70 years of age will no longer be able to drive the minibus, but may continue to drive their own car or a hospice car to transport patients. All drivers will have to complete and pass the appropriate MIDAS (minibus or mpv/car) course and keep their certificate up to date.
