Rowcroft Volunteers
Rowcroft’s volunteers are an integral part of the hospice team. Working alongside paid members of staff, they bring to the hospice an amazing wealth of skills and experiences.
Around 350 volunteers currently work at Rowcroft, 200 at the hospice and 150 in the shops.
Volunteers come from all walks of life, from students wanting to undertake work experience or gain their Duke of Edinburgh Award, to retired people looking to gain skills and meet new people.
On an average day, the hospice has around 44 volunteers working in areas such as the hospice estate, transport, bereavement team, shops, reception, ward and day services.
