Sleep Walk 2015
Event Type: Runs, Walks & Cycles
When: 11th July 2015
Where: Torbay Leisure Centre
Time: 8pm – late
Did y'all have fun in the wildest Sleep Walk in the west?!
On Saturday 11 July I rounded up my posse of 1800 cowgirls and took to the streets of Torbay, walking up to ten miles in aid of Rowcroft Hospice. Last year brought the buzz of Brazil to South Devon, but this year was all about boots, chaps and cowboy hats!
The Sleep Walk had a brand new five and ten mile routes for 2015; we saddled up at Torbay Leisure Centre and passed through some of the most rootin' tootin' landmarks in the Bay.
An unbelievable £169,000 was pledged on the night, dang that's good! But this doesn't take in to account sales of merchandise and other funds raised on the night, which are set to make the amount rise again in the coming days!
All funds raised go towards supporting the hospice's vital work, providing care and support for over 2200 adults living with life-limiting illnesses in South Devon every year, so thank you ladies for all of your hard work and let's make this year even better!

"I have taken part in every Sleep Walk that Rowcroft has done. Walking has been one of my hobbies all my life so I always walk the longest distance possible. I do it in memory of my son who was cared for by Rowcroft in 2010."
Jeannette Blanchard, 2014 Sleep Walker
