Now in its fifth year, Rowcroft Hospice’s Rudolph Run has returned this December, seeing 33 schools, nurseries and clubs across South Devon taking part and raising thousands of pounds for Rowcroft Hospice.
Around 6,000 children have taken part in the festive fundraiser, donning their reindeer antlers and participating in the fun run to help support Rowcroft’s specialist care for patients and their families when they need it most.

St Margaret Clitherow Catholic Primary School in Brixham joined in the fun, with Emma, EYFS and PE Lead saying: “We are so pleased to be take part in our fifth annual Rudolph Run for Rowcroft. We are a small school with a big heart, and the Rudolph Run is an important event in our school calendar each year. Rowcroft is an invaluable support to people within our local community and a charity which is close to many of our hearts. It was fantastic to see all the smiling faces as our energetic little reindeers pranced around the playground wearing their antlers and red noses.”

Learning, laughter and festive fun
Hayley Townsend, Challenges Fundraiser at Rowcroft, said: “We’re so grateful to everyone for taking part in the Rudolph Run. It’s fantastic to see children having fun while helping local people and learning about hospice care in a friendly, age-appropriate way. The event is a perfect way to celebrate the festive season while making a real difference within our community. We’d also like to say a big thank you to our brilliant event sponsors, China Blue and Cameron Mills Group, for helping to make this year’s Rudolph Run possible.”
