Physiotherapy

Rowcroft’s physiotherapist cares for patients across the hospice, taking individual and group sessions. The benefits of these sessions are physical, physiological and social; encouraging independence, function, hope and self worth, providing relief from pain, improving muscle and joint strength and general rehabilitation.

As well as working with individuals, the physiotherapist runs specialist group sessions, including breathlessness management which is aimed at optimising respiratory and circulatory functions, group physiotherapy sessions at the hospice for people living at home and gym based exercise sessions, aimed at maintaining mobility and strength for as long as possible.
