There’s no place like home...
...and for many people that’s where they want to spend their final days and hours, in familiar, comfortable surroundings with their families.
Rowcroft’s Hospice at Home team will provide support to families caring for a loved one at home, with nursing, emotional and practical support – 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
The service will take Rowcroft’s specialist nursing care into patient’s own homes. The seven specialist nurses, 11 senior healthcare assistants, three night drivers and Hospice at Home co-ordinator work as an integrated team and are all employed by Rowcroft.
Here’s how you could help our Hospice at Home team make a difference to the lives of local people.
- A gift of £15 would pay for a slidesheet, a key piece of equipment used by Hospice at Home nurses to more easily move patients in their homes.
- The Hospice at Home team requires little equipment except their vital ‘kit’ bag; each nurse’s complete kit bag costs £35.
- On average the hospice pays £220 per week in fuel to keep the Hospice at Home nurses on the road. A donation of that amount today would really help us to cover one of the largest costs involved in providing this service.
Please support Rowcroft’s newly enhanced Hospice at Home service, which will provide 24/7 nursing to over 400 people with terminal illnesses in South Devon this year. We need to raise £10,500 per week to fund this new and innovative service.
Anything you are able to give will help Rowcroft Hospice to reach more people in our community at their time of need.
Thank you!
