We believe that everyone facing a life-limiting illness should have access to the highest quality care, which is tailored to their needs and aimed at giving them the best possible quality of life.
Meadow of Memories

We are recreating a flower meadow in Rowcroft’s arboretum, within the hospice grounds. The meadow will be a beautiful and tranquil place to sit and walk with swathes of annual flowers amongst the many varieties of trees that grow there.

We want to create a place which gives people the chance to remember, reflect and look forward whilst enjoying the display of flowers emerging from the bare earth. We would like to invite you to be a part of this garden by requesting a flower that evokes special memories for you.

The flower choices are:- Starflower, Cornflower, Pinkfairies, Cosmos, Californian Poppy, Blanketflower, Godetia grandiflora, Gloriosa Daisy or Zinnia 'Liliput' 'Sunbow'

Everyone who makes a request will be invited to a special service in the meadow in July, when many of the flowers will be at their best, but will be welcome to visit the area at any time.

We received such wonderful comments about last year’s services on our Facebook page:-

“Thank you for the Meadow of Memories service today. It was really moving and very comforting”

“Thank you Rowcroft such a lovely service and a beautiful garden”
